Lectra Modaris / Gerber
Thus far in her academic career, Alexandra Blair has used Lectra Modaris pattern making software to develop menswear slopers and Gerber patternmaking software to develop childrenswear patterns.
Using male mannequin measurements, a basic form was derived to create a front and back sloper for a men's tshirt.
From the line measurements, front and back slopers were developed using curved rulers and Modaris tools.

A beginning stage of developing a design, the technical drawings and line sketches are a favorite portion of the design process for Alexandra Blair. These sketches allow details to be shown and organized before construction begins.

Through use of Excel and Adobe Illustrator, detailed technical sheets consisting of fabrics, garment measurements, finishes, and construction specifications can be created for production purposes.
